Rahul Jain
Born and raised in the old city
I was born in Jodhpur's old city. I grew up playing in the shadow of Meherangarh, learning the names of spice merchants at the Clock Tower, and hearing the stories of families who have lived in these lanes for generations.
After studying history and completing my guiding certification, I returned to those same lanes — this time to share them. Seven years later, I've walked with guests from over 60 countries, and the city still surprises me.
My walks are not scripted. They go where the conversation takes us, down whichever lane sparks your curiosity. Jodhpur is inexhaustible. You just need someone who loves it.
Moments on the Walk
Photographs from our walks through the old city — taken by guests, and by Rahul, in the lanes he grew up in.
What Our Guests Say
Rahul doesn't just show you Jodhpur — he gives it to you. We walked through lanes that aren't on any map, sat in courtyards that felt like secrets, and left knowing we'd seen the real city.
The best three hours of our entire India trip. Understanding the fort — the history, the lives, the conflicts — made it extraordinary. Worth every rupee and more.
I've done walking tours in thirty cities. Rahul's Heritage Walk sits in my top three. Small group, deep knowledge, and a genuine warmth that makes you feel like a guest, not a tourist.
Watching the blue city wake up, having chai on a rooftop the guidebooks don't know about — this is exactly why I travel. An unforgettable morning.
